I've had the absolute pleasure of diving headfirst into the world of the 2022 Bordeaux Millesimal for Figaro magazine! The series of illustrations are a love letter to the art of winemaking and celebrate the aromas what makes the 2022 Bordeaux Millesimal one of the very best.
Each illustration needed to represent a category of wine, highlighting its flavors and unique characteristics of this particular millesimal. Additionally, the client wanted to depict the winemaking process. To achieve this, I emphasized the significance of the aromas and particularities by illustrating the flavours on a large scale alongside winemakers engaged in various stages of their work. I differentiated the wine categories by using distinct color palettes inspired by their flavors.
